Below you’ll find every question clients commonly search before booking.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

You must be 18 or older with a valid government-issued ID or passport. We Do Not tattoo minors at Inner Visions Tattoo.

Do I need to bring my own design?

No. Our artists specialize in custom tattoo design from scratch. Bring any reference images and we’ll craft something unique for you. We love creative collaboration—that’s what “Bringing Your Inner Visions to Life” is all about.

Do you do cover ups or reworks?

Yes—cover-ups are one of our shop’s core strengths. Also, some of our tattoo artists will refresh older work and cover many types of scars after a consultation. Our goal is to transform past ink into something you can wear proudly.

What style do you specialize in?

Black and grey realism, biomechanical, color realism, neo-traditional, fine line, Polynesian, and custom large-scale work among many others. Each artist has their own niche—browse our portfolio or ask us to match you with the perfect artist for your vision.

Do you use white or UV ink?

We use white ink for highlights and contrast only. Full white tattoos and UV inks don’t age well and are not offered. We focus on results that stay strong for life.

How much do tattoos cost?

Our shop minimum is $100.

  • Smaller tattoos: Priced by design, size, and detail.

  • Half-day sessions (≈ 4 hours): $800–$1,300 depending on artist.

  • Full-day sessions (≈ 8 hours): $1,500–$2,600.

Each artist has varying rates and since every project is unique—it is best to contact us for a custom quote based on your idea, placement, and artist selection.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Cash App, and Afterpay.
Gift cards are available in-store or online.
We don’t accept checks, Venmo, PayPal, or money orders.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Deposits range from $100–$500, depending on the project size and artist. Deposits apply toward your final total and are non-refundable. If you book multiple sessions, each session may require its own deposit based on the artists discretion.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require five days’ notice to reschedule without losing your deposit. If you cancel outright or no-show, the deposit is forfeited. We understand life happens—call or text us as soon as possible so we can work with you.

Are walk-ins accepted?

We do take walk-ins when time allows, but appointments are recommended. Call or text 702-732-2200 to check same-day availability.

How do I schedule a tattoo consultation or appointment?

You can:

  1. Call or text 702-732-2200

  2. Submit our contact form at the bottom of this page.

  3. Visit the shop in person to discuss ideas with our front desk team.

We offer in-person, email, and virtual consultations. Most consults happen within a few days to a week.

How far in advance should I book?

Artist availability varies: some have openings within 2–3 weeks, others are booked 6 months out. Our booking team will match you with the artist of your choice. We may also suggest alternative artists who are better suited for you if you are looking to get in sooner.

Do I need to pay a design fee?

No—your deposit covers the design time. Most artists create your artwork digitally on an iPad the day before or morning of your session so their focus stays on the current client. Joe Riley and Mike Rosal often freehand directly on skin with markers for true customization. You’ll always approve the design before tattooing begins.

Can I see the design before the appointment?

In most cases, designs are shown the day of your session. This ensures we capture your vision while keeping our creative flow focused on each client. Since the designs are created digitally, any changes or adjustments can usually be done in a few minutes. If your project needs pre-approval, ask your artist during booking.

What about health, safety and sterilization?

Inner Visions Tattoo is Health Department-inspected and certified.
All artists carry current Body Art cards and Bloodborne Pathogen training. We’re a fully disposable shop — needles, grips, and ink caps are single-use only.

We adhere to strict barrier protection and cross-contamination protocols.

If you’re on blood thinners, pregnant, or nursing, you cannot be tattooed. Consult your doctor for medical advice. We won’t tattoo over sunburns or active skin conditions. Latex or fragrance allergies? Just tell your artist—we’ll use alternatives.

What kind of ink do you use?

Every artist at Inner Visions Tattoo uses an assortment of the top brands of tattoo ink. The same ink trusted by award-winning artists worldwide.

What should I do before my appointment?

  • Get a full night’s sleep.

  • Eat a good meal before coming in.

  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior.

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing.

  • Bring headphones or something to keep you relaxed.

A well-rested, hydrated body handles tattooing far better.

Can I bring a friend or my kids?

One support person is welcome in the tattoo area at a time.
Children are welcome in the lobby but must be supervised. They cannot be in the procedure area.
Please arrange childcare for long sessions.
Only service animals are allowed in the studio.

📍 Location: 7885 W. Sahara Ave #107, 89117 –Near Sahara Ave & Buffalo Dr in Las Vegas
🅿️ Plenty of free parking.
♿ Wheelchair accessible.
🕚 Hours: 11 AM – 9 PM daily (occasionally close early if finished for the day). Closed on most major holidays.

Do you offer numbing cream or allow clients to use it?

This is something you want to discuss directly with your artist. There are many different numbing creams on the market. Many of them do not work as well as advertised or may cause adverse reactions to the tattoo healing process. Many of our artists work with products that help with the tattoo process to take the edge off without fully numbing the area.

Aftercare Instructions

Most tattoos are covered with second-skin film (Saniderm-style) for the first 24–48 hours. Your artist will give specific directions.
If using traditional bandage aftercare:

  1. Leave the bandage on over night.

  2. Wash gently with fragrance-free liquid soap (Dial, Dove, Ivory).

  3. Pat dry with a clean towel—don’t rub.

  4. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion (Aveeno, Lubriderm) 2-5× daily.

  5. Expect light flaking after a few days—don’t scratch or pick.

  6. Avoid  direct sun exposure for 2–3 weeks.

  7. Avoid soaking, swimming pools, hot tubs, etc for 2-3 weeks.

  8. After healing, use sunblock to keep your tattoo vibrant.

Questions during healing? Call or text us directly — don’t rely on internet advice.

Do you guarantee your tattoos?

Absolutely. We offer free touch-ups within 12 months unless fading is due to client negligence (e.g., sun damage, improper aftercare, hands/fingers/toes). We stand behind every piece we create because your tattoo is our reputation.

Do tattoos hurt?

Pain varies by location and person. Most clients describe it as a scratch or sunburn-like feeling. The more you want your tattoo, the less it hurts—mindset matters.

Can people with darker skin get color tattoos?

Yes. Color shows through all skin tones—it just appears differently. Think of skin as a “window tint.” The ink sits underneath the skin. Darker skin tones will filter out the full vibrance of the ink to varying degrees. Our artists will guide you on the best color choices and placement for your complexion.

Are hand, neck and face tattoos allowed?

These areas are artist discretion only. They’re typically reserved for clients with existing coverage and lifestyles where visibility won’t be an issue. We won’t do gang-related or hateful imagery — period.

What's the proper way to tip your artist?

Tips are never required but always appreciated. Most clients tip 15–25 percent, similar to any service industry. What matters most is your satisfaction and trust.

Can I take photos or videos during my session?

Yes, as long as it doesn’t interrupt the tattoo process. Feel free to tag @innervisionstattoo on socials. If you prefer not to have your tattoo photographed, just check the opt-out box on your release form — we respect your privacy.
